I write across genres, but my focus stays constant: the choices we make under pressure, and how they define us.
I'm Phillip Macko, author of six completed works of fiction and nonfiction. On the nonfiction side, Think Your Age, Don't Act It and Make Others Greater sit alongside Career Resiliency and Transformational Sales Prospecting Strategies (BookBoon). Make Others Greater chronicles the largest team of people with disabilities ever to reach Everest Base Camp, and Gary Guller's record-setting summit, a story of courage, resilience, and inclusion under impossible conditions.
My fiction works darker ground. The Conduit is a high-tension thriller of secrecy and survival. My new series opens with THE SEPULCHRE CROWN, a psychological conspiracy thriller in the vein of Sicario and The Night Manager, where espionage, identity, and moral consequence collide, and where the people who appear to hold power may be the ones most completely owned.
On the mountain, in the boardroom, or in the shadows of covert power, my work circles the same question: who do we become when there's no safe choice left?
